Founded by Dr.Taraneh Moazzeni, Ph.D., RCC, CCC, our practice is built on 12 years of expertise in helping individuals and couples work through anxiety, burnout, relationship struggles, and major life transitions.

Why AbVision?

The reason our counselling center is named Ab is because “Ab” means water“ in Persian, representing much more than just a natural element.
It embodies the profound strength and resilience within us all. Just like water, we too have the remarkable ability to adapt, flow, and navigate through life’s challenges without losing our essence.

Water is inherently flexible; it bends around obstacles, finds its way through even the most difficult terrains, and continues its journey without being stopped. Similarly, we have the power to embrace change, adapt to life’s ups and downs, and find new paths to healing and growth.

In nature, water is constantly flowing, never stagnant, constantly renewing itself, and offering life. It reminds us that even in our lowest points, we can find the strength to move forward, to course-correct, and to evolve. This fluidity allows us to process emotions, heal from pain, and transform difficult experiences into powerful sources of growth.

Much like water, we believe that true healing is found through resilience and the courage to flow through life with adaptability and strength. No matter the obstacles, we have the potential to find our way and continue our journey, as water does—endlessly moving, growing, and becoming.

Referrals are accepted from:
  • Family Physicians and General Practitioners
  • Centre Mental Health and Community Health Centres
  • ICBC – for clients with Centre for Psychological Services and Counselling needs related to motor vehicle accidents
  • Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP)
  • Extended Health Insurance Providers, including:
    Pacific Blue Cross, Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Green Shield, Desjardins, and others
  • Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) – for refugee claimants (with pre-authorization)
  • First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) – for eligible Indigenous clients
  • Self-Referrals are always welcome
 
Please note: RCC services are covered by many extended health plans offer full or partial reimbursement. Receipts will be provided for insurance claims.
